Three men have been charged and appeared in court today after a series of drug raids across Christchurch by police yesterday.
The Canterbury Organised Crime Unit claimed after the raids to have cracked an alleged methamphetamine supply ring.
Methamphetamine worth almost $500,000, along with cash, motor vehicles and synthetic cannabis were seized, Detective Sergeant Phillip Sparks said.
Concrete worker Michael Heron, 44, builder Riki William Wellington, 26, and 23-year-old security officer Luke Samuel Mathers - all of Christchurch - appeared from custody at Christchurch District Court this morning.
All three men are accused of being in possession yesterday of the class A drug methamphetamine and synthetic cannabis, a psychoactive substance, with the intent to supply.
