Prime Minister Helen Clark has paid tribute to philanthropist Sir Roy McKenzie, who died in Wellington on Saturday, aged 84.
Helen Clark said she was saddened by the death of Sir Roy, who had at various times been a Royal Air Force bomb aimer, Olympian, company director, accountant and patron of numerous charities.
'"Sir Roy was one of New Zealand's leading philanthropists and gave more than 60 years of service to the community."
