A dozing juror stopped a trial in the High Court at New Plymouth yesterday.
The judge decided to call a halt to proceedings after spotting the juror nodding off, the Taranaki Daily News reported.
Six Stratford men were on trial for assault on two victims.
Justice Judith Potter was summing up the case when she spotted the sleepy juror and discussed the issue with the lawyers before postponing the trial to 9am today.
