An Auckland man charged with careless driving causing the death of Cromwell woman Jennifer Claire Scott in July has had his case adjourned until next month.
Shop assistant Isaac David Madsen, 19, was remanded at large by a registrar in the Queenstown District Court this morning.
He will appear in the same court on January 11.
Police allege Madsen was driving a vehicle that collided with 76-year-old Scott's car on the Frankton-Ladies Mile Highway near Queenstown on July 31.
Scott was taken to Southland Hospital with serious injuries and later died.
