Lotto multimillionaire Trevor has splashed out on a car for his mum and a new Holden ute for himself, and has been talking to dealers about buying a two-seater V10 Dodge Viper.
Two week after scooping almost $26.7 million, the Te Kauwhata man dubbed New Zealand's most eligible bachelor bought a black HSV Maloo 2011 high-performance ute with an engine also used in the Chevrolet Corvette, worth about $70,000, from Moyes Panmure.
Moyes sourced the ute from Hamilton car dealership Ebbett, whose sales manager Steve Lyon described it as a "good-looking toy".
"It's not an off-road vehicle. It's a sports vehicle for looking good and going fast."
It is understood he was also looking for a Dodge Viper - though his dad Kevin laughed off suggestions it might be the new limited-edition Viper, rebranded the SRT, which was launched on the international car market last week.
