Trespasser on tracks near Newmarket causes Auckland train delays

Auckland trains have been delayed this evening due to a trespass incident on the tracks near Newmarket.

Police were called at 4.55pm to a report of a person on the tracks, a spokeswoman said.

Nobody was injured in the incident, which was resolved by 5.20pm, she said.

Train services have resumed but Auckland Transport is warning commuters to expect delays following the incident.
