The estranged stepdaughter of one of New Zealand's top fashion designers is facing further methamphetamine related charges.
Nadia Cooper, stepdaughter of Trelise Cooper, appeared in Auckland District Court today facing charges relating to methamphetamine possession and utensils.
She originally faced two charges but the court was told today that six or seven more charges were to be laid.
Cooper, 31, was remanded on bail to reappear in Auckland District Court in March.
She is the daughter of Trelise Cooper's husband Jack Cooper.
The fashion designer said in November that the family's relationship with Nadia had become estranged in the past two years and that she was distressed to hear about the charges.
"As a family we are deeply saddened by this news," she said.
"If she is found to have broken the law she will have to face the consequences of her actions.
"But regardless of the current circumstances of Nadia's life, her family will continue to be there for her if she chooses to accept our help."
