A travelling Treaty of Waitangi exhibition in a semi-trailer will be taken to at least 35 locations next year.
Te Papa, Archives New Zealand and the National Library plan to set up the exhibition at A & P shows, regional field days, and in shopping malls.
It would give New Zealanders an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the treaty, Te Papa chief executive Seddon Bennington said in yesterday. It remained a controversial and sometimes baffling topic for many people, he said.
