Tramper swept away

A woman is missing after being swept away in the Pelorus River in Marlborough yesterday morning.

Police said a male tramper and his partner rescued one woman from the river about 11.15am while another was swept away.

Police said the man ran and tramped for four hours to Pelorus Bridge to raise the alarm.
