A 20-year-old tramper is missing after becoming separated from her group near Wanaka.
Acting Senior Sergeant Ian Temple said Wanaka police were advised today that the woman
had gone missing in the area of Gillespie Pass, between Young Valley and Wilkin Valley.
He said the woman was part of a larger group travelling through the area and was last seen about 3pm yesterday.
Police and search and rescue volunteers would conduct ground and aerial searches tomorrow.
