Train victim named

A man who died after a train hit him in the Bay of Plenty township of Te Puke on Saturday was Peter Thomas Harris, 35, a teacher's aide.

Police said initial inquiries indicated Mr Harris was lying on the tracks about 2am when he was struck by the train.
