Wellington train services have resumed after yesterday's derailment during peak hour.
A commuter train with about 350 passengers left the tracks at Kaiwharawhara north of Wellington Station about 8.15am yesterday, resulting in minor injuries to four people and causing major disruption to commuters.
KiwiRail's general manager for passenger services Deborah Hume said the train had been removed and the track fixed, and checks on trains of the same make were completed.
If there were any changes, passengers would be notified, she said.
"If something doesn't go to plan ... we will send out a text and make sure it's on the internet and make sure it's on the electronic signs on the platforms."
