Train services resume after gas leak

A gas leak in south Auckland has been repaired and train services through the Mangere area are back to normal.

Firefighters were called to Orakau Road late this morning when contractors ruptured a gas mains and train services were halted in the area for a time while repairs took place.

Gas company Vector says there should be no problems with gas supplies for residents.
