A man had a near miss after a freight train clipped the side of his ute this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Lincoln St in Hampden, North Otago about 9.30am.
Acting Senior Sergeant James Ure, of Dunedin Police, said no-one was injured in the accident.
"The driver had approached the crossing and stopped, he checked right and then the train approached from the left and clipped the vehicle," he said.
