The Kuranui Trail Ride fundraiser blazes back to Kuranui College this weekend.
The trail ride, held in partnership with the Martinborough Motorcycle Club, will be run at the Finlayson family farm south of Martinborough on Sunday.
The course runs over steep, hilly parts of the farm, the family say, ensuringparticipants have a variety of challenges, whether they are beginners or more experienced riders.
"It's a fantastic, fun day out and always attracts a lot of enthusiastic riders, but we want to ensure it remains fun for everyone, so we are insisting that riders wear a helmet and follow the course safety rules," says Kuranui College principal Geoff Shepherd.
"It's a great way to raise funds for the college and you don't have to be a rider to enjoy the day out, you just need to bring along a picnic and watch all the action."
The college is also looking for people to help on the day with the registration desk, preparing and serving lunch, and acting as track marshalls. Phone Susan Finlayson on 06 3077853 if you are able to help.
Lunch is included in the $35 admission price and registrations take place from 9am at the farm on Clay Creek Rd, Ruakokopatuna.
