Traffic normal after crash and breakdown on morning commute along key West Auckland road

A car crash that blocked a major West Auckland road this morning has now been cleared.

One person suffered moderate injuries when two cars collided outside Pak'nSave supermarket on Lincoln Rd at the intersection of Universal Dr about 6.30am.

Drivers heading into the city faced delays but Auckland Transport said the crash had been cleared and traffic was flowing well again.

Police said a vehicle involved in the smash had been left blocking the road in both directions.

One person was taken to Waitakere Hospital.

At the end of the same road a truck had broken down on the left lane of the off-ramp heading east.

A truck breakdown is blocking the left lane on the eastbound Lincoln Rd off-ramp. Expect some delays and take extra care. ^LC

Road authorities warned motorists to expect delays and take extra care in the area.
