Traffic holdups in Auckland

Motorists using the Northern Motorway and Esmonde Rd interchange may face delays as a result of road closures.

Until Friday, day and night, there will be no right turn on to Constellation Drive at the end of the motorway offramp, no right turn on to the Constellation Drive onramp (northbound) and no eastbound link between Akoranga Drive and Esmonde Rd.

On Monday, the Northcote Rd offramp (southbound) will be closed overnight from 9pm to 5am.

Constellation Drive closures will continue until January 24 and Akoranga Drive closures until January 30. Transit New Zealand said the closures were to allow work to progress on the Northern Busway and Esmonde Interchange upgrade.
