Logs spilled on to the Masterton-Castlepoint Rd road near Tinui after a logging truck was driven into a grass verge.
The truck ended up on its side, blocking traffic on Monday afternoon, said Masterton traffic policing sergeant Chris Megaw.
"It appears that the truck has found itself on the grass verge which has caused the trailer to drop into the verge and then tip the truck over," Mr Megaw said.
The driver suffered cuts and scratches.
The truck was travelling south from Castlepoint towards Masterton when it dropped into the verge near the Peaks Rd intersection and the logs rolled off. Fulton Hogan assisted with clean-up and traffic control.
