KEY POINTS:
Transit New Zealand says motorists on State Highway 6 between Queenstown and Cromwell will face minor delays from next week as engineers inspect Nevis Bluff.
Transit Central Otago area engineer John Jarvis said the work was part of Transit's "ongoing safety strategy" at the bluff, which is about midway between Cromwell and Queenstown.
The work, which was expected to be completed by May 23, involved abseillers inspecting the bluff, drilling and the use of a crane.
Traffic delays of up to five minutes could be expected between 8am and 5pm from Monday to Friday to enable the work to be done safely.
Transit completed stabilisation work at the bluff in November.
