KEY POINTS:
Trade Minister Phil Goff is leading a 130-strong trade delegation to China that left yesterday on Air NZ's inaugural direct flight to Shanghai.
He is also taking with him the mayors of Rotorua, New Plymouth, Wellington and Dunedin.
Mr Goff said it was the largest trade and political delegation from New Zealand to visit any country.
He said that within five years China could become this country's No 2 source of tourists after Australia.
