A vociferous Auckland protester's soon-to-be redundant anti-Len Brown sign has sold in an online auction this morning.
Richard Cuthbert has been standing at the busy Greenlane and Great South Rd intersection every Saturday for more than a year with signs of protest against the Auckland mayor.
But now that Mr Brown has announced he doesn't intent to stand in next year's elections, Mr Cuthbert has decided to auction off his "Toot - Len Brown Sux" sign.
The listing closed at 9.15am today and the winning bid was $260.
Mr Cuthbert said all proceeds will go to Women's Refuge and he said he now had his Saturdays back and could start mowing his lawn.
