An elderly man is in a stable condition with lung and pelvic injuries after he was run over by his own tractor yesterday.
The 85-year-old from Taihape was standing to one side of the tractor while he tried to start it.
It moved forward unexpectedly, catching and dragging the man under the rear wheel and under an attached mower trailer.
