Toxic alga lake warning

Waikato residents walking their dogs near Lake Rotoroa in Hamilton are being urged to keep them away from the water because of a potentially toxic bloom of cyanobacteria, or blue-green alga.

The Hamilton City Council said the bloom would die down as weather conditions changed.
