KEY POINTS:
The cases of three men charged over the death of Korean backpacker Jae Kim have been transferred from Westport to Greymouth.
Police last month charged a Nelson fisherman, Shannon Brent Flewellen, 28, and a former Westport man, 31, who received interim name suppression, with Mr Kim's murder.
They also charged a third man whose name, identifying details and charge have been suppressed.
Westport court registry officer Lisa Brooks-Hateley said all the appearances had been transferred to Greymouth District Court on August 12.
All three had been remanded to appear in Westport court this Thursday, but police later applied for transfers to Greymouth.
It is understood lack of security at the Westport court prompted the application.
Police allege Mr Kim, 25, was killed at Charleston southwest of Westport, in late 2003. They have not found his body.
