Tourist missing in Lyttleton

Police are searching for an Australian tourist reported missing in Lyttelton and police said they are concerned for his safety.

Michael Craig, 45, was reported missing by his travelling companion who has not yet been named.

Mr Craig was having a drink with his friend at the Lyttelton Hotel and was last seen leaving the premises and walking on the harbour side of Norwich Quay about 2am on Friday morning.

He is described an olive skinned Caucasian, 175cm in height, stocky build, "salt and pepper" coloured hair with a crew-cut style.

He was wearing a two-tone long-sleeved sweat shirt, coloured navy blue and light brown, together with grey track pants.
