A Danish tourist was flown to Nelson Hospital this afternoon after a wasp sting saw him crash his car.
The 49-year-old tourist was driving in the St Arnaud Nelson Lakes area at about 3.30pm when he was stung by the wasp, causing him to lose control and roll his vehicle.
The man was flown to Nelson Hospital by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter after initially being assisted by Department of Conservation staff at the scene.
A Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter spokesperson said the tourist suffered minor injuries.
