A Swedish tourist has admitted spiking the drinks of three men and a woman in a Napier bar last month.
However, the 29-year-old man, who is also fighting to keep his name suppressed, is disputing information in the police case against him in relation to the drinks-spiking, so details remain confidential until after a hearing regarding those issues on February 22.
Another hearing, to determine whether his identity remains secret, will be held in the High Court at Napier early in February.
The man has not yet pleaded to another charge of indecent assault against the woman whose drink he spiked with the Class B controlled drug GHB at the Cri Coffee House Brasserie during the early hours of December 5.
GHB is known variously as fantasy, liquid ecstasy, liquid x and liquid G.
The woman and three men were all admitted to hospital after drinking it.
