Cross country
The wind and hills were a big factor in the Ruamahanga Rambler cross-country handicap event held at McFadgen's property Tea Creek Rd on Saturday.
Course setter Ray Wallis had to be joking when he said it was a flat course. All of 2m might have been, the rest was up and down with a big climb after the start into a galeforce head wind that seemed to get stronger after each lap. With a lap being 1610m long it was a tough day at the office.
