There are still 177 properties without power this morning as a result of Thursday's tornado in West Auckland.
Lines company Vector said in a statement multiple crews were working well into the night in the Hobsonville area and had restored power to another 280 customers.
"This leaves 177 customers without supply at this point. However some of these properties are amongst the 150 most badly damaged and are potentially uninhabitable," it said.
There were still numerous service lines down which would be inspected today.
Some large fallen trees were being cleared this morning so crews could repaired damaged lines.
