A top principal has pleaded not guilty to assaulting his ex-wife.
Peter Clague, 48, is facing one charge of male assaults female relating to an incident with his ex-wife, Jeanne Jackman, at his Greenhithe home in September 2010.
Clague pleaded not guilty at North Shore District Court yesterday after she launched a private prosecution against him.
In documents filed with the court earlier this month, Ms Jackman said she wanted to bring the prosecution before Clague leaves in August for his role at 500-year-old Bromsgrove School in Worcestershire in the UK.
Clague is next due to appear at the North Shore District Court on July 30.
