Camden Butler, 5, of Masterton, who rode his Honda CRF 50 to success at the Wellington motocross championships at Foxton last weekend. He contested seven races in the Jap 4-5yrs class and headed off number one seed and national champion Xavier McBrydie of Taupo for the title by a remarkable 22pts. This coming weekend will see Butler, who has been riding for some 16 months, head north to contest the first round of a motocross series being held by the Taupo club and which will involve one meeting a month for the next six months. Also on his hit list is the Labour weekend motocross extravaganza, also be held at Taupo.There, Butler will compete in the 6-8yrs age group. The talented youngster is following in the footsteps of his father, Simon Butler, who has been an active follower of motocross for some 14 years.
