Ayla Surtees has had the same routine every morning for years.
The 21-year-old retail worker takes a Berocca Vitamin C tablet, snaps it in half and dissolves it in water. She uses the other half for a second energy boost later in the day.
"I try and remember every day, first thing in the morning, usually four or five days a week," she said.
Surtees started drinking Berocca as a teenager.
She was surprised to hear it could damage teeth, and always thought her occasional cavities were down to eating sweets.
A Bayer spokesman recommend rinsing your mouth with water after using their product.
The spokesman said while testing pH levels was not a requirement of fizzy vitamin drinks, the nutritional benefits of the product should be weighed against concerns.
Also consumers could use the Berocca film-coated tablets instead.
