Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has revealed he will appear at Eden Park as part of a lucrative mid-winter public speaking tour.
Mr Blair is predicted to pocket more than $1 million from the five-date July tour covering New Zealand and Australia.
It includes a speaking date at Eden Park in Auckland on July 28 and events in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
A statement said Mr Blair was to speak on the future global outlook, paying particular attention to the Middle East, emerging markets and global economy.
Britain's Sunday Times said the cheapest ticket for the tour was was $1354, offering a "full sit-down banquet meal" and pre-event cocktail party, while the VIP ticket, at $2031 includes a photograph with Mr Blair.
Since leaving office in 2007, Mr Blair had amassed a personal fortune estimated at $60.9 million, helped by the lecture circuit and lucrative consultancies, it reported.
Some of that that has been channeled his political and charitable empire, ranging from his Faith Foundation to pro bono work advising governments in Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
He has also taken a key role in raising awareness of climate change, founding the Climate Group in 2004 and is currently serving with the United Nations in the Middle East.
