A small group has gathered in downtown Auckland, where a protest by Tongan rugby league fans is due to begin.
Supporters are irate over a referee's call they feel robbed their team of a spot in the Rugby League World Cup final.
A social media post shared online today said last night's march at the same location received media exposure and urged supporters to again turnout on Quay and Queen Sts in the CBD to push World Cup organisers to take another look at the refereeing decision.
As of 6pm, the protest's advertised start time, there were just a handful of supporters waving flags and dressed in red.
Hundreds of protesters were in the city last night, singing and dancing through the streets.
