Maria Tomlinson truly was the 'hostess with the mostest' when the Ruamahanga Ramblers held a cross-country event at her and husband Rick's Admiral Hill property on Saturday.
She started mid-pack in the handicap 6km race, took over
the lead halfway through
the second of three laps and
was never headed, finishing a minute ahead on handicap of Greg Lang.
Fastest over 4km was Michael Hammond while Terry Maloney handed the hills well to finish first on handicap.
Lucy Britland found the conditions to her liking too in taking handicap honours over 2km.
