A 25-year-old Otahuhu man charged with the murder of a south Auckland woman will appear again in court next month.
Joseph John Wayne Berry was charged with the murder of Daisy Tetroi Toto, 55, when he appeared in Manukau District Court today.
He was remanded in custody to appear again on March 8.
Ms Toto's body was found semi-naked behind a toilet block at Murphy Park, in the south Auckland suburb of Otahuhu, just before 7am on Friday.
She had head injuries and her trousers had been removed.
Berry was given name suppression when he first appeared in court on Saturday to give him time to tell his grandmother of his arrest. The suppression lapsed today.
