A toddler remains in a critical condition following a house fire in Mount Wellington in Auckland on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the house in Malone Rd, which was well ablaze, just after 8am.
Fire service area commander Mike Shaw said a 2-year-old boy was given CPR at the scene before being taken to Middlemore Hospital.
Today, a Counties Manakau District Health Board spokeswoman confirmed the toddler was still in a critical condition in Middlemore Hospital following the fire.
It was too early to identify what caused the fire, Mr Shaw said.
