A toddler who fell off a wharf and was rescued from the Hauraki Gulf remains in a seriously ill condition in Auckland's Starship Hospital.
The 18-month-old was admitted with his 3-year-old sister on Friday evening after being found by a family member in the sea at Rangiahua Island, near Great Barrier Island.

A hospital spokesman said the boy was in a serious but stable condition.
The little girl has been discharged.
