A Hawkes Bay toddler who was badly burned in a car fire last Saturday remains in a critical condition in Auckland's Middlemore Hospital.
Dukie King, aged 23 months, was flown to the hospital's specialist burn treatment unit after suffering burns to 55 per cent of his body.
A hospital spokeswoman said Dukie remained in a critical condition today.
Dukie was pulled from the burning vehicle by his father in the small town of Mohaka, 33km southwest of Wairoa, about 2pm last Saturday.
He was flown to Hawke's Bay Hospital before being transferred to Middlemore.
