Save A toddler seen wandering unaccompanied behind a Masterton house helped lead police to an unexpected cannabis bust.
Police were alerted to the toddler roaming the yard about 10.15pm on Wednesday.
Officers calling to the house to locate the girl's parents or caregiver came across an indoor cannabis plantation with 42
plants.
The bust in Ballance St led to the plants' seizure.
A 25-year-old Masterton man was arrested and has appeared in Masterton District Court on cannabis offences.
