A 3-year-old Auckland girl is in hospital with head injuries after falling off a bunk bed while playing with another child in Raetihi, about 90km north of Wanganui, on Saturday morning.
She was flown by the Palmerston North Square Trust Rescue Helicopter to Wanganui Hospital.
Pilot Fergus MacLachlan said the girl, who lives on the North Shore, had a large bump to the right side of her head and was unconscious for most of the flight.
