KEY POINTS:
A toddler has died after being hit by a car reversing in a Northland driveway.
The child was hit at around 7.40 last night at his home in Kaikohe. Police spokeswoman Sarah Kennett said the vehicle was driven by a family member.
The boy was airlifted to Whangarei Hospital with serious head injuries, where he died early this morning.
The police serious crash unit is investigating.
