Max Key is proving something of a transtasman hit just days after releasing his debut single.
Joining parents John and Bronagh Key for a short stay at the home of Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull, 20-year-old aspiring muso Max has captured headlines of a major Australian newspaper as the focus shifted away from pyjamas to progeny.
With his star on the rise the Sydney Morning Herald has noted the accomplishments of the young Key as he "lived it up" with his parents at the impressive Point Piper waterfront compound.
Noting his previous brushes with celebrity included playing golf with US president Barak Obama and staying at Balmoral Castle as a guest of the Queen, it said he was no stranger to official business.
The exposure in the Australian media delved into the young Key's private life, documented publicly on social media, and his short-lived relationship with Auckland beauty Amelia Finlayson.
