Wairarapa College breathed new life into the Wairarapa premier one netball competition when they toppled the much-vaunted Collegiate last weekend and the students should carry on their winning way tomorrow.
They will meet Hiona in the 12.30pm match at the Colombo Road courts and they will be expected to dominate their opposition, especially in the shooting circle where talented youngsters Abby Hull and Hope Phillips should have a field day.
The Wairarapa College side also has a powerful defence, spearheaded by a member of the Capital Shakers development squad in Rosie Mahoney.
The 11am match at Colombo Road will see Greytown up against St Matthew's Collegiate and while Greytown are sure to fire up anything other than a comfortable St Matthew's win would be a surprise.
Two premier one games are scheduled to be played at the Genesis Recreation Centre in Masterton tonight.
Collegiate will be wanting to put last weekend's hiccup quickly behind them when they take on Celtic Marist at 6pm. The latter have enough experience in their line-up to make a decent game of it but the greater depth of Collegiate should give them the final say.
All Blacks and Featherston Black Sox will play the 7.30pm match and All Blacks certainly have the form book on their side here. They seem set for a decisive win.
Title chase wide open
