An ammonia leak at ice cream maker Tip Top's Auckland factory which injured two workers has been isolated by firefighters.
Firefighters were called to Carbine Road in Mount Wellington this afternoon.
Fire service shift manager Jaron Phillips said ammonia leaks could be very dangerous.
He said two appliances and eight firefighters were at the scene and the leak had been quickly isolated.
St Johns team manager Keith Hall said two people had been taken to hospital for ammonia irritation to their eyes and skin. They were not in a serious condition and had been taken for a checkup.
