After a fling with a DJ, the little car has been doing New York
Renault's Twizy may be small with a gimicky name but it's making a big impact worldwide.
First it was in a duet with famous French DJ David Guetta at the Geneva motor show in March, thenlast week appeared in a video for the hitmaker in Los Angeles.
Now the two-door electric Twizy is spending some time in the city that never sleeps - zooming around Manhattan's hip and trendy Meatpacking District.
It's also enjoyed a morning jog in Central Park, shopping in Soho and a night-time stroll under the lights of Time Square.
The Twizy then zips back to Europe and is expected to go on sale soon for €6990 ($11,515) - and you have to lease the battery.
At just 2.338m long, 1.237m wide and 1.454m high and weighing 450kg - including the 100kg battery - it's ideally suited to city motoring,
The Twizy is more scooter than car as the passenger sits behind the driver, though in the case of a head-on collision, both occupants are protected by a deformable structure, while the outboard position of the four wheels and the lateral beams located either side of the chassis provide protection should the vehicle be involved in a side-on impact.
