"Tindallgate'' bouncer Jonathan Dixon has made a brief appearance in court on charges relating to the Mike Tindall nightclub scandal.
Dixon, 40, of Queenstown, appeared before Judge Kevin Phillips in Invercargill District Court on Thursday on a charge of accessing a computer system dishonestly and thereby dishonestly and without claim of right obtaining property on September 13, as well as an unrelated charge of wounding with reckless disregard causing grievous bodily harm on January 21.
The doorman grabbed national and international media attention in relation to the posting online of security camera footage which showed Mike Tindall, England rugby captain and newlywed to royalty, frolicking with an old flame in a Queenstown bar during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
The court was told on Thursday that Dixon intended to move to Auckland. His trial was likely to be held next year.
