The Wairarapa Times-Age has achieved a "double" circulation gain, the only daily newspaper in New Zealand to do so in the latest survey period.
The latest ABC circulation results, released yesterday for the year ended September 2014, showed the Times-Age increased its circulation by 3.1 per cent, compared to the 12 months ending in June, and 2.1 per cent on the same time last year - the only daily newspaper in New Zealand to do so. Compared with the most recent period, the Times-Age also increased its net paid circulation.
"To grow circulation in this market is an outstanding result and one the team has worked hard to achieve" says general manager Andrew Denholm.
During the same periods, The Dominion Post's circulation fell 2.1 per cent and 8 per cent respectively.
Editor Andrew Bonallack said increasing circulation was a clear-cut affirmation the paper's team is hitting the right note in providing desirable content for its community.
