A prominent barrister has until 5pm today to decide if he will continue to fight to keep his name suppressed. The barrister went to the Court of Appeal yesterday seeking continued name suppression but the appeal was dismissed and an interim order given that banned publication until today.
That order was made to give the barrister time to consider appealing that decision to the Supreme Court. The barrister is accused of several charges brought against him by the Standards Committee of the New Zealand Law Society.
