Unbeaten Gladstone All Blacks can expect stern opposition from Carterton Red in their Netball Wairarapa premier one match at the Genesis Recreation Centre in Masterton tonight.
All Blacks will field a stong line-up spearheaded by Wairarapa reps Celia Donaldson and Lisa Manihera, but they will need to be on their guard against a Carterton team who will have experienced campaigners like Nelda Day, Kala Dudson and Kelly Matthews calling the shots.
Also engaging in combat at the Genesis Recreation Centre tonight will be Harcourts and Kuranui College, and the star-studded Harcourts side should have little trouble chalking up their fourth win from as many matches.
Kuranui are a young side who are, not surprisingly, finding life difficult in the premier grade, but to get within 20 points of defending champions Wairarapa College last weekend shows they are progressing in the right direction.
Wairarapa College, for their part, are also on the improve and they should have too much speed and flair to Hiona in their game at the Colombo Road courts tomorrow. Also playing there are St Matthew's Collegiate and Salute Greytown with St Matthew's clearly having the odds in their favour.
